8/21/2015      Due to an increase in online courses available to the fire service, the Office of the Fire Commissioner has provided the following clarifications regarding the use of online courses for NFPA certification in an information bulletin.

NFPA Certification

The Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFC) is accredited by the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (Pro Board) and the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) to administer certificates for the a variety of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standards.  Look under Fire Rescue Service Certification in the left menu for more information on topics such as:
  • applying to host an exam
  • rewrites and appeals
  • certificates
  • validations
